AP students stage Earth Day fair

With booths offering information on such topics as the spread of microplastics pollution, the plight of dwindling sea turtle populations and the burn scar of the Thomas fire, the quad at Thousand Oaks High School became an epicenter for environmental knowledge last Thursday.
REEF KNOWLEDGE— Aleli Nava, Catherine Rennemo, Asa Bodily and Abbie Wells present their research on the challenges faced by the world’s coral reefs. The group offered Swedish Fish candies to visitors who correctly answered questions.
